DAVID A. STOPPER
Mr. Stopper has over 50 years of experience and specialized training, including 17 years in law enforcement, which led him to developing and teaching Heavy Truck & Bus Crash Reconstruction / Forensics courses to include The University of North Florida’s Institute for Police Technology & Management (IPTM), Texas A&M University TEEX (Texas Engineering & Extension Service), South Carolina Hwy Patrol & Transport Police Academy, Ontario Province Police (O.P.P.), Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. He was a contributor to the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) Heavy Vehicle Airbrake Performance – Safety Study, which included national research & validation testing with TEEX, 1989-1992.
He was also the Director of the Institute for Heavy Truck & Transportation Safety through the Northern Virginia Community College System (NVCC), specializing in CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) supervisor compliance courses. Mr. Stopper has held a CDL for all classes of CMVs.
Mr. Stopper currently teaches Heavy Vehicle Crash Reconstruction for the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety in Evanston, IL.
